May Mocktail Recipes You’ll Love
The Lime Rickey is such a classic and timeless drink. You can enjoy this refreshing and delicious beverage even when you’re alcohol-free. There’s one unique ingredient that captures the tang you crave from this drink.
Start mixing up –
3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
¼ teaspoon caper brine/ juice
Optional – ½ ounce simple syrup
½ cup soda water or if you prefer a tangier drink use 1/2 cup tonic water
Lime wedges for garnish
Combine lime juice, caper juice, and the simple syrup if you’re using it in a highball glass. Stir.
Fill glass with ice and top off with sparkling or tonic water. Garnish with lime wedges.
Cucumber Melon Granita
A pitcher of our Cucumber Melon Granita won’t last long! The sweet and refreshing tones of this drink will have you thinking frozen treat. Luckily, the only headache you’ll feel might be a brain freeze if you hit this one too fast! Hit the store and stock up on –
4 cups honeydew or watermelon, cut in chunks
2½ cups coconut water
1/2 bunch mint leaves
2 Tablespoons fresh lime juice
½ teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 seedless cucumber peeled and cut in 1″ slices, reserve extra for garnish
Combine cut melon and cucumber in a food processor or blender.
Process on high speed until smooth and no large chunks remain.
Add lime juice, coconut water, salt, and mint. Blend until totally smooth.
Pour into the baking pan and place into the freezer.
At the 40-minute mark, take out and scrape around the edges and bottom of the dish with a fork. This will break up the ice crystals and create a shaved ice texture.
Repeat 4-5 more times.
Once the granita is frozen completely, pour it into a pitcher and enjoy!
The French 75
The French 75 got its name because the alcohol version packs the same mighty punch that the powerful French 75 canon does. In our version, you’ll get a punch of flavor but no worries about getting tipsy or making any faux pas!
This recipe does use bitters. Some people are wary of including bitters in their NA drinks – both alcoholic and non-alcoholic bitters are available. However, even the alcoholic versions contain a negligible amount of alcohol. It is the equivalent of using a dash of vanilla or peppermint extract in a recipe.
To make it you’ll need –
2 cups of ice
3 ounces fresh lemon juice
4 dashes lemon or orange bitters
2 rock candy swizzle sticks
Lemon twists (for garnish)
Combine fresh lemon juice and bitters in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
Shake until the tin is frosty (usually around 10 seconds).
Divide the drink between two champagne flutes.
Top off with tonic water.
Garnish with rock candy swizzle sticks and lemon twists.
Super Spicy Salty Dog
Do you like your drinks with a kick? You can still enjoy that when you’re alcohol-free. Our Super Spicy Salty Dog sports a kick thanks to the inclusion of both jalapenos and sriracha sauce! You can control the intensity by playing with how much of each to add to this refreshing drink! Make sure you have these ingredients on hand to make it –
2 1/2 cups grapefruit juice (fresh or bottled)
1/2 cup lemon-lime soda
1 ounce of fresh lime juice
1 jalapeno – sliced with seeds removed
Dash of sriracha sauce
Tajin seasoning or salt for the rim of the glass
Grapefruit slices (for garnish)
Fresh mint (for garnish)
Sprinkle Tajin seasoning or sea salt onto a plate. Rub the rim of each glass with a slice of grapefruit. Dip each glass rim in the seasoning or salt.
Fill glasses with ice. Add lemon-lime soda to each glass. Next, add the lime juice.
Top off glasses with grapefruit juice. Add desired amount of jalapeno slices, a dash of sriracha sauce, and a slice of grapefruit to each glass.
Garnish with fresh mint leaves.
