may mocktail recipes - cucumber melon granita

A pitcher of our Cucumber Melon Granita won’t last long! The sweet and refreshing tones of this drink will have you thinking frozen treat. Luckily, the only headache you’ll feel might be a brain freeze if you hit this one too fast! Hit the store and stock up on –

Ingredients:

4 cups honeydew or watermelon, cut in chunks

2½ cups coconut water

1/2 bunch mint leaves

2 Tablespoons fresh lime juice

½ teaspoon kosher salt

1/2 seedless cucumber peeled and cut in 1″ slices, reserve extra for garnish

Instructions:

Combine cut melon and cucumber in a food processor or blender.

Process on high speed until smooth and no large chunks remain.

Add lime juice, coconut water, salt, and mint. Blend until totally smooth.

Pour into the baking pan and place into the freezer.

At the 40-minute mark, take out and scrape around the edges and bottom of the dish with a fork. This will break up the ice crystals and create a shaved ice texture.

Repeat 4-5 more times.

french 75 mocktail recipe

The French 75

The French 75 got its name because the alcohol version packs the same mighty punch that the powerful French 75 canon does. In our version, you’ll get a punch of flavor but no worries about getting tipsy or making any faux pas!

This recipe does use bitters. Some people are wary of including bitters in their NA drinks – both alcoholic and non-alcoholic bitters are available. However, even the alcoholic versions contain a negligible amount of alcohol. It is the equivalent of using a dash of vanilla or peppermint extract in a recipe.

To make it you’ll need –

Ingredients:

2 cups of ice

3 ounces fresh lemon juice

Tonic water

4 dashes lemon or orange bitters

2 rock candy swizzle sticks

Lemon twists (for garnish)

Instructions:

Combine fresh lemon juice and bitters in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.

Shake until the tin is frosty (usually around 10 seconds).

Divide the drink between two champagne flutes.

Top off with tonic water.

Garnish with rock candy swizzle sticks and lemon twists.
