Soraya Arjan Odishoo (she/they) is a certified This Naked Mind Coach and a certified Kula Yoga instructor who uses somatic approaches to healing, including working with the IFS model and Compassionate Inquiry (CI) models of therapy. She works with individual clients as well as groups, both in person and virtually, from all over the globe.
The common thread in Soraya’s diverse practice is that clients come to work with her because they find themselves stuck in their relationship to a sense of purpose & meaning, what some call the Self (with a capital S), or their “higher Self”. Soraya specializes in addictions of all types; alcohol, nicotine, sex, eating disorders, attachments, etc. She works with clients on relationships they have with any substance or behavior that they find themselves having little control over, that is causing them persistent consequences, a loss of connection with their true Self or an inability to recover a sense of harmony within. Her work and education are trauma-informed and heart-centered. Her approach to healing with clients is collaborative and relationship-based.
Soraya’s passion is in the work of guiding people back to their power and helping them lay down the foundation for their own liberation. She is committed to the accessibility of this service, particularly for others who also identify as BIPOC or LGTBQIA++, and has a sliding scale available for her private coaching clients. She recently moved with her wife to southern Vermont, where she takes long walks, gardens, and learns from the natural world
Testimonials
‘Soraya offers an incredibly safe, non-judgmental space to explore and learn about one’s relationship to addiction and Self.
In working with Soraya, I have learned that ” addiction”, attachment, or identification with a substance can be a beautiful doorway into understanding more about who we are, the issues we face, as well as the unconscious limiting beliefs that may be holding us back.
Soraya provided valuable feedback and helped me to probe deeply into the ties and attachments I have had to alcohol.
She has helped me to identify how my relationship with alcohol met certain needs and with the Identification of those needs, I could then move on to finding different ways of meeting them.
I have felt incredibly supported and have learned so much about myself and my attachment to my addictions with Soraya! She is a wonderful light-filled gift!’

Soraya went above and beyond in helping me achieve my personal goals. In every session, she cultivated an energy of empathy and self-compassion, allowing me to feel seen and heard without judgment as I opened up about all of the shame and vulnerability I’d been holding onto. Soraya’s training in IFS helped me get in touch with myself in a way I never had before, guiding me to meet old wounds with compassion and acceptance and teaching me about how much growth and self-love can come from within. Soraya was always affirming, encouraging, and validating, even while constructively pushing me to meet my goals. I completely trust her with my most sensitive thoughts and experiences and have grown immensely from our work together. I highly recommend anyone looking for a coach or guide to meet with Soraya. I’m so grateful to her for helping me relate to myself and others in a healthier way.
