Mary Davenport

Mary is a foreign service spouse and mother of three who has spent the last 20 years country hopping and raising children. Born and raised in Utah, she left home at 18 for college and ended up living in Philadelphia, London, Paris, Shanghai, Montreal, Toronto, Geneva, Ottawa, Beijing, Shanghai (again), Beijing (again), and has settled in Washington DC (for now!). Alcohol was always a huge part of her lifestyle and seemed inextricable from the expat experience. When she took a break from alcohol in January, 2019, she discovered Annie Grace’s book “This Naked Mind,” and her life was forever changed. Amazed that life could be even more fun, adventurous and exciting without alcohol and without hangovers, Mary has spent the last year and a half studying recovery and personal growth and is passionate about helping other women discover the world’s best kept secret: that life is more beautiful, joyful and fun without alcohol, and that living substance-free is the backbone of self-love and acceptance.
