Rob Lohman of The Addiction Recovery Hub has started the Beyond the Bars podcast. Rob himself has been free from addiction for 16 years and wanted to help others find their freedom. He created The Addiction Recovery Hub to connect those needing help with professionals who can assist them. The Beyond the Bars podcast is a product of that. Rob takes part in discussions surrounding addiction, incarceration, recovery, and advocacy.

Beyond The Bars

I love the idea of getting beyond the bars – both literally and figuratively. How many hours did I lose to the bars as I networked? How many hours did I spend imprisoned by the bars of anxiety and depression due to alcohol? Getting beyond the bars means reclaiming our freedom and our control.

This Naked Mind on Beyond The Bars

Rob and I spend some time getting into This Naked Mind. We discuss how This Naked Mind works by ending the conflict between your conscious desire to drink less, and your unconscious belief that alcohol is beneficial. Using liminal thinking you’ll be able to not only move beyond the bars but to eliminate any desire you ever had to drink.

Getting beyond the bars doesn’t have to be a struggle or leave you feeling deprived. Start reading the first 40 pages of This Naked Mind for free right now and learn how to take control!

How To Start

Go beyond – beyond the bars, beyond the book and beyond the podcast. Join The Alcohol Experiment for a free 30 day alcohol free challenge.  You’ll receive daily emails and videos to help guide you through and encourage you to rethink and reshape your relationship with alcohol. What if you DON’T need alcohol to have a good time, relax, let loose, etc? What benefits are there to giving up alcohol? You can find out with The Alcohol Experiment!

Personal Connections

The Addiction Recovery Hub is all about connections, you also need to get connected with others like you! Luckily the options to do just that are plentiful now! No longer do you need to search out church basements and stale coffee to find fellowship. In person and online – the alcohol free movement is taking off and you can join in.

No Shame, No Judgement

I’m known for saying that alcohol is the only drug you have to justify not taking. Not here. Not with me. No shame. No judgement. I say live your best life aware and unaltered by alcohol or any other substance.
